Hello there! I’m Gigi
I grew up in a rural English village where the words ‘equality’, ‘sustainability’ and ‘animal rights’ weren’t a part of the vocabulary.
So, like my peers, I ate processed, mass-produced food, shopped on the high street and mixed with people solely from my background.
And then the internet happened. I became active on social media sites. I listened to stories from people all over the world. Slowly, realisation dawned. The world isn’t a perfect place where everyone and everything is treated fairly. The choices I make about the things I buy, the words I say, the places I visit – they matter.
The more I realised this, the more I wanted to change my habits.
I travelled to different parts of the world to broaden my understanding of other cultures and the way our actions in the west impact lives everywhere.

Eventually, I reached a point where I didn’t want to buy fast fashion, eat mass-produced food, live in a polluted city or connect with people who didn’t share my values.
Alongside this realisation, I was developing my career as a writer.
I’m head over heels for the written word.
Don’t ask me why. When I was little, I wanted to be a zoologist. Not an writer. But for some inexplicable reason, I was compelled to put pen on paper. Which led me to:
- Study English Literature at Hull University
- Write for leading gaming magazines in the UK
- Teach English as a foreign language in Thailand
- Complete a content marketing apprenticeship with Helen Dibble at Incredibble
- Start my copywriting business
- Start writing science-fiction novels
For the past five years, I have been writing for all kinds of businesses – marketing agencies, photographers, software developers, recruiters, accountants … the list goes on.
I LOVED writing for these businesses, helping the incredible people behind them realise their visions and concentrate on their passions.
The only problem: I wasn’t furthering my ultimate goal, to make an impact on the causes I care about most.

And then I got the opportunity to write web copy and articles for a global menstrual cup brand. They wanted me to focus on inclusivity and stamping out period stigma. I was also asked to help launch a sustainable clothing business, emphasising their passion for veganism and supporting the environment.
My reaction?
I realised that I CAN carve a niche for myself as a copywriter that represents everything I care about.
To help businesses with similar values succeed in making the world a better place.
Businesses like yours.
